All of our bespoke furniture is custom made, by our skilled furniture craftsmen at our factory in Wroxham, Norfolk, UK.  For those discerning customers who require that special piece of furniture made to their own specification, or perhaps require custom made furniture more suited for contract use for hotel, residential or corporate projects, we offer a complete bespoke furniture design service from original concept sketches through to full production and on site delivery.

When you commission bespoke furniture from us, nothing is left to chance: initial concept sketches will be produced to ascertain the general design and proportions of your furniture commission; these are followed by detailed elevational line drawings together with any accompanying colour or finish samples of the timbers that will be used in your commission.

It is not until the furniture's final design and dimensions have been agreed that the furniture manufacturing process begins.

Arguably 50 years ago the British Furniture industry was second to none; today most of the companies previously associated with producing high quality traditional furniture are no more. With so many reproduction furniture imports flooding into the UK, finding a UK manufacturer that is able to offer a bespoke customised service is a rarity.

Here at Charles Barr Furniture, it is our belief that whilst the UK furniture industry may have lost its lead in the global furniture market, in many respects the UK furniture industry is still a world leader for producing top quality, bespoke, traditional reproduction furniture.

All of our bespoke furniture services are carried out completely in-house by our own skilled designers and craftsmen.
